Principal Designer Services under CDM Regulations

At JYM Partnership, we provide expert Principal Designer services in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). Our role ensures that health and safety considerations are embedded throughout the design process, protecting everyone involved in your project.

What is a Principal Designer?

Under CDM 2015, a Principal Designer is appointed by the client on projects involving more than one contractor. The Principal Designer is responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring the pre-construction phase to ensure that risks are identified and controlled from the outset.

Our Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinating health and safety during the design stage.
  • Ensuring designers comply with their duties under CDM regulations.
  • Identifying, eliminating, or controlling foreseeable risks.
  • Providing relevant information to contractors and other duty holders.
  • Preparing and updating the Health and Safety File for the project.

PRINCIPAL DESIGNER & CDM SERVICES:

  • Acting as Principal Designer under CDM 2015 regulations.
