Nationwide Radon Monitoring Programme

We were appointed to manage a radon monitoring programme covering more than 2,300 properties across the UK. Managing radon across an estate of this size presents a significant logistical challenge, and our role is to provide a single point of coordination — managing the programme from planning and deployment through to collection, results and reporting. Key elements of our service include:

• Coordinating the distribution and tracking of detectors across the estate
• Monitoring progress and maintaining a centralised, auditable record of results
• Providing the client with a clear picture of the position across their portfolio
• Advising on appropriate next steps where elevated radon levels are identified
• Facilitating access to specialist Radon Protection Advisers (RPAs) and mitigation providers where further investigation or remedial measures are required

This approach means the client can access the right specialist expertise without having to manage multiple elements of the process themselves, while maintaining a consistent and auditable approach to monitoring across their portfolio.

The technical process of radon monitoring is relatively straightforward; the challenge for a large estate is delivering it consistently, efficiently and with good oversight. Our service is designed to take that burden away from the client, while providing the management, coordination and reporting needed to effectively manage radon risk across their estate.
